GT5 updates download error

    Has anyone had trouble lately with Playstation network? I bought GT5 before christmas, and when I start it up it tells me there is an update available. But when I try download it, it throws up an error message. Anyone else seen this?

    no mine updated fine. when it first came out the update used fail cause of overloaded servers but that shouldn't be a problem now. does any of it download or does it jus fail straight away.

    if it downloads first then fails, keep trying because it will cache the parts already downloaded and you'll eventually get it.

    Welcome to the PSN and non resumable updates...
    Had a bloody nightmare getting mine to update, I would suggest trying it very early in the morning instead of in the evenings when PSN usage is at its peak.

    I got prologue a few weeks ago and it was doing the very same, just keep entering the game and it will download ok.

    It can take ages to load parts of the game. The video stuff they put on the game seems to slow it down ,takes ages for that part to load up.

    I meant the Prologue version!! I haven't perfected time travel yet :)

    It fails at the very start of the download usually. I think once it got about 10% through. Its getting on my nerves.

    By the way, another 9 month wait for GT5 is unreal. That would be ~18 months after prologue was released How can they take so long?

    Usually gets about 30-40% of the way through on me before failing.

    Probably because they keep updating prologue :D
