May Costello's edition is good enough.

They all have their advantages ..the best one I reckon is just out this year
Not sure if you can get it in the shops or is it online availability only"NOTES for Leaving Certificate Music"
by Anna-Marie HigginsandMajella Higgins..(ring opus 2 music shop in dublin and check if they have it 016778576)...it's pretty pricy but contains a textbook and 2 workbooks...probably the textbook is enough to get you through.. they're online website has a lot of pretty good notes and links to relevant performances on you tube..

Soundscapes is good if your looking for a detailed analysis..just look for the 4 analyses of the set works ..the rest is just background stuff if you want to learn a bit more in your own time..

Less success more stress is good place to start if you havn't a clue...pretty bite sized..but good glossary on all the terms..

May costelllo is more of a listening workbook...with no answers!!but it's good to stick the cd on random and test yourself..

for notes that your teacher was probably given a few years ago check out

    hope that helps

We got Rapid Revision by May Costello. Its real good....covers almost everything like set works, essays, Irish music, harmonising etc. I found it real helpful for notes on Berlioz and Mozart and ****changes! Hope this helps [:
