where can you find out the open market value of your car

    Guys

    I was in a bit of a bang this morning and the car could be a write off, so to prepair myself fot the worse is there somewhere on-line to check out the open market value of your car. I have my car insured for one value but we all know the insurance company will only pay the open market value regardless.

    its a 1999 audi TT 1.8 litre, 180BHP with 65K on the clock first reg'd in July (but I've entered every month on my attempt)

    Wow, My 2000 Celica is worth less than three grand on revenues website, think they need a proper redoing, although it would be a great time to bring in a new 2004 VVTLi with rates like that.

    My car might be an economical write off as well and i wouldnt be able to replace it with what id get from the other guys insurance company. they have excepted full liability.my question is do i have any grounds for compensatiom for the loss of my car due to the other guys neglagence. thanks in advance of any reply
