Brazil driving

Hi, another travel question from me.

I was hoping to drive across Brazil and into Peru, then south again, starting in Manaus(Brazil), heading to Cusco (Peru), and down to Rio de Jeneiro (Brazil). Has anyone here ever done something similar? And if so, what problems did you encounter? Were there many towns along the roads to stop over in, get food, etc.?

    Thanks...

There are a lot of small cities along the way. Easy to get food very cheap in Brazil. There are a lot of farmers along the way. You can stay in small hotels called "hotel fazeda" in the small cities. Cuscos has a lot of potholes on the road so be careful, also there are a lot of tolls on the way but they will be cheap. Be careful who you trust as car hijacking can happen a lot. Be careful of prostitutes along the road they or there pimps who could rob you. Plan carefully along the way and always hide emergency money (in your underwear) just in case you are robbed. If you have time visit Bonito city... its great really beautiful. Boa Viagem.

My man, that is very good news. Extremely helpful, and I'll try to add Bonita to my route. I was worried that I would be driving through hundreds of miles of forest road with nothing but exotic insects to keep me company. I'll be taking a motorbike, hopefully, and I should have at least one person with me, so we'll try not to get mugged.

    Thanks again.
