    Hi,
my avast free edition recently detected a virus in windows\system32.
    (Image attached)
I tried the actions such as delete, move to chest and repair, but because of its loaction it advises to to touch it... so what should i do? For the last few days i have just been selecting no action and working away as normal but this is not ideal.

    Can someone please help?

    Thanks

only thing you can try is repair, dam thing attached itself to an important file.

if repairing doesent work, and you know what your doing, And you have your installation cd, delete the user32.dll, then at boot there should be an error, use your installation disk to put in a fresh copy.

but even after that, there will still be traces of the virus left, hell it could even just hook its process to the new user32.dll

btw if repair dosent work, try other antiviruses, im not too fond of avast, try avg, or kasperspy , comodo , or any free yolk..
