I find these great http://pdfs.icecat.biz/pdf/22060419-853.pdf I picked them up in the airport for about €20.
I also have these http://www.panasonic.ca/english/accessories/headsets/shockwave/RPHS11.asp which which I picked up in Dixons in the Liffey Valley - these are a really snug fit and have a little windshield around them - so good when it's a bit windy.

Sorry for the thread revival but....

...I want these. Anyone tell me where (aside from the airport) they've seen them? I need earbuds to keep the noise of the train out, but I want secure earphones for when I'm running and these look like just the ticket.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them in Dixon's / Curry's recently - still going strong for me - have them a couple of years.

Apologies again for the bump, but this thread is prominent when searching so I thought I'd give some feedback. Just bought these today (the SHS8000 philips earphones).

Initial thoughts: Very secure fit which is what I was after. Gonna go running in the morning with them on. They cost me €30 in the philips shop at the bottom of Georges st. Thanks for the recommendation BeepBeep67.

Cheaper alternative that I spotted in Heatons today (Wicklow Town) - SHS3200 - €13

bought the sennheisser PX 80 about 3 months ago £25 and thought they were great until they stopped working in one ear

think its due to running and sweat getting into the headpiece

very disappointed with them as they are " active sports" headphones:mad:

any headphones i've owned have only lasted a few months at a time between getting wet, sweat and then bundling them in and out of pockets etc. 3 months isn't great, but 6 months or so would be pretty normal lifespan..

I use these and they are good value. Phones stay in even when you are running quite hard. Sound quality not as good as more expensive head-ohones but still quite reasonable.
