I book 9 flights to hamburg for next saturday and only put the first and surnames of the people that are flying on the flight details however i was told today by someone that they thought that the middle name was essential was important also and that we wont b allowed fly if its not there but on the passport, is this the case. Or is the first and surname enough, i dont have a middle name down on my passport but im aware that some of the others do.

    Thanks...

Some people don't even have middle names. It's not essential, enjoy your flight :)

You'll be fine! Ring Ryanair tomorrow and hear it from them :)

I regularly book tickets for group travel and we have never given middle names.

Don't ring Ryanair, they will charge you for a pointless exercise.

You definitely do not need middle names.

I regularly book groups (most recently 29 people) on Ryanair, never give middle names and never have any problems.

Only stipulation is that if, for example, someone's name is in Irish on their passport, it should be booked in their Irish name.

I have my middle name on my passport. NEVER put it in on booking forms. NEVER have problems. So as everybody else has said, you will be fine!
