I am trying to decide between a 120gb iPod Classic or a 32gb iPod touch. I plan on going travelling for 6 months or more depending on this global economic issue. In my 'my music' folder i seem to have 22.5gb of music (i used to have a creative - it died).

So with the itouch i love all the idea of internet access and maps (in the likely event i get lost) in addition i like the way it looks, feels etc but I do like the space on the classic. I expect all of my friends to furnish me with lots of music before i go (so using it as a 'hard drive' and solving any sync issues) so i should have some more music before i go.

I would also expect to be storing lots of photos on it.

One of the other big advantages to the touch is the flash drive as opposed to hard drive which is more durable.

Overall i am down to the question of space over something i really like the look and capability of etc.

I am not bringing laptop with me...

What would you do? Am i missing anything here? Any other suggestions are welcome?

Not bringing that laptop, i'd go with the touch

22Gb of music, of course the iTouch would be the most suitable for your needs esp with google maps, web access etc.

What does the 120Gb give you apart from more space for stuff you don't have.

    :)
