Had a pal over from the Mainland who is coming to live in Ireland..he is seriously wealthy and wants the best and most exclusive education for his kids Jeremy and Phillipa who are 13 and 15 respectively.

He is going to live in the greater Dublin area but would not rule out boarding schools any part of the country.

He will be in Ireland for about 3 years.

Dont know much about Irish skools myself but I have heard of Glenstall Abbey an Loreto on the Green/Mt Anville etc.

    Any advice ?

St Columbas College is the most expensive school in Ireland therefor could be termed 'poshest'.

my god how desperate is that.:(

Send his children to watever school is close to them, that way they have real friends, instead of acquaintances with other kids forced into a school they didn't choose.

Also it will save him money in the long run as he'll leave as soon as he sees the state this countries in

Glenstall abbey is in Limerick/Tipperary, no where near Dublin.

By mainland do you mean Britain or something?

If you're looking for advice on Dublin schools that I wouldn't start checking out schools in Co. Limerick.

I thought Clongoes (sp?)Wood was supposed to be the poshest. But from experience of working with schools all over the country for about 10 years I would say that the secondary school that consistently produced quality students would be St Michael's (all boys school) I don't have that much knowledge with girls schools.
