most places other than the canaries will have you on a connecting flight anyway. best bet is the carribean, but you'll fly to london then onto wherever. dominican republic has all types of resorts for all budgets.

cheapest will always remain the canaries though

why don't you want it "accessable from any airport except dublin", dublin from my experience serves every airport shannon and cork do

anyways anywhere in the south (ie south of spain e.g. marbella will be quiet and cheap with ryanair to malaga only 35 minutes away), albufeira in portugals algarve will be cheap and quiet that time of year and sunny but not roasting, tourist season doesn't really start till late april there, grab a bargin or two in some 4 star hotel easily in march.

Thanks for the replies everyone - some good suggestions,

the reason I don't want to fly from Dublin is that I live in the West and will be good and knocked up by March and don't want to be dragging my giant belly to and through horrible dublin airport if I can avoid it. We want to get away and chill before the baby comes as will probably be a while again before we can do that. (like maybe 20 years!)

Will check out Portugal - sounds perfect...

Actually be careful if you do choose Egypt and you are pregnant as hygiene standards aren't what we're used to. Good luck with the pregnancy! :)

If you want sun & heat I'm not sure I'd risk Portugal in March. As it's on the Atlantic it can still be quite cold in March & April

try malta , we went on honeymoon on march 5th 2001 and it was lovely, not roasting but comfy - good luck with your pregnancy , we are expecting number 3 ourselves in july so we have opted for wales ourselves this year before our latest bundle of joy arrives.
