If an employer is making a Director Redundant - is there a protocol they must follow and what happens if they don't follow it.

Anyone have experience any statutory redundancy beneifits for Directors?

I'm a little bit confused, if you are a director then you are the employer. You don't really get made redundant in the true sense of the word but you simply resign, not sure of the technicalities but you hold particular privileges as a director.

Re the state benefits, unless you were paying PRSI in class A, you've very little. But then again you were / are paying less PRSI for the this downgrade. For example, you can't claim the dole, but you can seek assistance which is means assessed.
