How to get rid of Back acne

Sorry for going unreg'd on this but Im a bit emabarrassed about it (too vain for my own good :) ). Anyway I am a 37 year old male and over the last couple of months I have developed really bad back acne. I have tired a fair few antibacterial shower gels and soaps when I am in the shower along with a back scrub brush but the acne is still there. Its getting to the stage where I cant where any white shirts or tops as I can be guaranteed that one of the spots will burst (sorry for being disgusting) and will leave a stain on my top. The same thing when I go to bed. Almost every morning there will be a stain on the bed sheet from a spot going pop.

I dont have any acne on my face. I have looked at my diet, type of washing powder I use, any lifestyle factors that may have changed etc and I cant put my finger on any changes. I eat the same food, wear the same clothes, do the same amount of exercise etc. I have checked on the web to see if there is any thing I can buy but everything seems to be aimed for facial acne. I was half thinking of doing a couple of stand up sun tan sessions to see if that might help but I dont know how safe that would be. Just wondering if anybody could help cos I want to go on a sun holiday this year and I would be really reluctant to take my top off with this stuff on my back.

    Cheers in advance

Go to your GP who may have a treatment to hand or may recommend a skin specialist. Any relative sudden change like this should make a medical professional your first port of call. Diagnosis or anything beyond that is not within the remit of PI forum. Basically got to your doc for peace of mind and effective treatment.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
