I currently have a cancelled Sky subscription so receive whatever free to air satelite channels that are left when you cancel. BBC's & ITV's etc.
Obviously no longer receive RTE or TV3 .
My TV is a UK model with a digital tuner. It's a PANASONIC
    TH50PZ80.

Is there any way for me to receive RTE outside of Sky subscription?
Can I stick up an ariel (if so any idea's what kind? ) and connect into ariel input on Sky box? Or connect into ariel input on TV?

    Any help appreciated.

where exactly is glenville? You should be able to receive if its UHF but not if VHF as UK tvs can't. However, DTT is rolling out quickly so another 2 months will have another story

Hi TheDriver, Glenville is a few miles west of Watergrasshill.

As above the TV has a digital tuner, so I guess that means UHF or VHF wont be picked up?

If I'm wrong and it can pick up UHF, then can I get a UHF RTE signal in Glenville?

Any idea in what direction I would have to point the ariel? I suppose I'm asking where is the nearest transmitter for UHF?

    any help appreciated,

You could possibly pick up UHF from Spur hill (Cork City) if your tv only has Uhf. Otherwise its vhf/uhf from Mullaghanish.

Check out the pdf attached for other possible directions to point your antenna.
