hi there, was looking for evening course and came across this offer

    http://www.digitalbeginners.com/canon/index.htm

I am living in cork and wanted to see if anyone had a spare voucher number for someone that does not have a clue how to use there camera apart from auto.

Dave from digitalbeginners posts here from time to time so may be able to engage with you as to the terms & conditions, transferability, etc..., and the options that you may have. If he doesn't see this you could perhaps drop him a pm.

Doh, never thought of that, just assumed it would be fine. Have a canon camera but got outside this offer. Was thinking of doing their evening course in Cork and thought the introduction would be good to do before hand, will give them a call and see if vouchers can be transferred.

Hang around here & you will find that people are very friendly & helpful.

You may also like to look into local Camera Clubs. The annual membership to an active club is often much better value for money than formal courses. Other members will help you to improve your photography & there will be talks on specialist subjects.

Doh, Doh, just gave them a call, as ye guys predicted the vouchers can't be transferred. They were nice about it but clear.

Thanks CabanSail for the suggestion makes a lots of sense. Had a look at some of the sites and worth going along to.

Dave and digitalbeginners has been recommended around here many times - (try a search of the forum with digitalbeginners as the keyword). Probably worth the few bob if the post Christmas finances would stretch.

Otherwise, as Cabansail recommended - hang around here and there is lots to learn. Have a read of the FAQ's and the Charter and post you questions or images for C&C when you pluck up the courage.

Here's a list of camera clubs you might be interested in Camera Clubs. As you can see there are quite a few in Cork.

Getting a registration number off somebody else won't necessarily get you on the course.

Have a closer look at the terms and conditions.

For example, on the day itself you need the original voucher and your original receipt.
