The last one looks the best, also lightest and gets good reviews, thats the one I would go for

I've had two out of the three. Selle Italia C2 was fine, comfortable, maybe a bit too padded, but that's my taste. The problem is that the once the leather got wet, the surface wore off around the edges and it looked like crap after a while.

I've got the Pave on my road and track bikes now. Tis quite wide at the back, but nice and solid. Definitely one you don't sink into.

I find that Fizik Pave saddle good. Light enough, and solid enough without being so minimal that you can't use it for long cycles. Would recommend.

Have you sat on any of them?

No :o and probably wont get an opportunity too either. I appreciate that most peoples derrier's are different and I suppose I'm looking for comfort over weight but not Brooks either IYKWIM.

That's the tricky thing about saddles. Everyone's different.

I've a great big arse and the most comfortable saddle I've ever had is a Selle Italia Filante, a budget version of the SLR, which is a tiny saddle. Go figure.

Hi there, this might help you make you descision. Its a picture of my 2008 Trek 1.5 with my new Selle Italia C2 Gel Flow in white! I got the saddle here for €35...excellent value for a vey light and nice looking saddle! Well worth more money ;)

NOTE: It's out of stock at the moment, but wait around for a while like I did to get the good value! Good luck

I'm selling this one simply because I wanted a different colour! Originally at €45....down to €25 now!
Good value really...it's a nice lightweight saddle if that what you want! ;)

This may be the stupidest question of the day (or even the week), but why are saddles, eh, saddle-shaped? I thought the idea was that only the sit bones in your behind were supported by the saddle, so the pointed bit at the front should be superfluous. What am I missing here?

The pointed part is for balance and steering ,especially important when you are riding with no hands:D When going around a corner the thighs squeeze against it to support the rider.

I find (personally) when I ride on the drops or in an aerodynamic position on the hoods that I sit a bit more forward on the saddle, I seem to be able to generate more power this way. Thankfully this is only for shortish runs, couldn't imagine sitting like this for a full weekend spin.......ouch!!!
