Just bought a new sandisk cruzer tianium 16gb data stick. Works perfectly on home laptop and pc.

However on older work pc it won't work on the front two usb ports. When I put it into one of these it "beeps" once or twice but cant be read. On the same pc it works perfectly in the 2 usb ports at the back. I also have an older 4gb sandisk that works perfectly front and back.

Really awkward getting access to rear usb ports on a regular basis.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get it to work on the front usb port?

What make & model / specifications is the old PC?
Do you have anything else plugged into the front ports?

    Get a USB extension cable?

    enable the ports

Go to ; start -- settings -- controlpannel -- system -- hardware -- devise manager --look for the usb port in the list and select it then you can see an option disable or enable accordingly on the tool bar

    Hope this helps
