Sky HD box freezing

    Hi,

Over the last couple of days my Thompson Sky HD box keeps on freezing .
Last night when locking up and turning off everything i noticed herself had left the box on , I hit the standby button on the remote and nothing happened . So i went over to the box and hit the stand by button, again nothing happened. I turned on the TV and the TV guide was up, and the channel was running in the back round ( sound that is ) but only the TV guide image. I had to plug the box out for 5 mins to get it up and running again.

This has happened a few times over the last while starting just after Christmas but is becoming quite a regular thing now.

I have a Sky installer coming out tomorrow to put in multi room and mentioned to the lady on the phone that the tuner was acting up also, she said she would put the box down "down for a service" and the engineer would have a look at it when he was there.

Should i ring them back and tell them i think the box has a major fault or will Sky installer have back up equipment in the van and when i tell him about the fault he will just swap it out ?

    Cheers

If its down for service then the engineer will have a refurb box to exchange while your one is getting fixed...either that or he might be able to fix it there and then....i could be wrong so anyone else feel free to correct me.
