    hi has anyone tried ringing apollo house. the number i have is 6369300. i must have rang 50 times and didn't get an answer:mad: anyone got a different number 4 them??????????

    The only way I have ever managed to contact anyone in welfare directly is if I knew their first name and last name. Their email system is usually based on firstname.lastname@welfare.ie

    Obviously, that guesswork may not work for the more common Irish names.

    I really don't understand why (unlike other areas like Revenue) welfare favour queues and unncessary face to face questions when they could respond far quicker in most cases by email.

    My local social welfare office doesn't even have an email address listed. This is the 21st century. If they really wanted to maximise efficiency and save money, surely a regional email support centre would be the way to go.
