NTSC PS2 Games on the PS3

    just wondering if NTSC ps2 games work on the 60gb PS3

    1st i heard that the 60gb plays any ps2 game no matter of format

    then i heard that although PS3 games are worldwide format PS2 games arent and won't work for me

    i'm just looking to confirm either of these options?

    PS2 games are region locked. It's a pain for me because I've an american PS3 so can't play the majority of my games.

    same problem i have

    i played all the big ps2 games now so im selling my american ps3
    theres good and bad things about a american ps3

    buy very cheap ps2 games from america

    can't play pal dvds

    most blu-rays are region free but a small bunch are region locked

    dam, after i heard any ps2 games played on ps3 i got excited about getiing the MGS Essential Collection.. dam rumors!:rolleyes:
