How would I calculate/estimate the maximum surface temperature that an object will reach in sunlight ? E.g. I am laying a black HDPE membrane on the ground which will be exposed to direct sunlight. Maximum expected ambient temperature can be estimated at approx 30C, but the black liner will become hotter as it absorbs…

E.g. I am laying a black HDPE membrane on the ground which will be exposed to direct sunlight. Maximum expected ambient temperature can be estimated at approx 30C, but the black liner will become hotter as it absorbs sunlight. Is there any way to get a handle on the maximum temperature it will reach, at say 30C ambient ?
