excel 2007 - Help with filter, copy & paste

I've been using excel for years but have only recently got MS Office 2007.

A problem that I 'm having is, filtering data, copying to another worksheet and pasting and I'm looking for you help. :)

I've a spreadsheet with 900 rows and 150 columns, I need to email some of the data to different people and only want them to have access to the data that's relevant to themselves.
Normally I'd filter their group, copy/paste to another spreadsheet ane email, simple BUT NOW using excel 2007 I find when pasting the filtered data that the hidden data can sometimes be still available in hidden rows e.g say my data is currently on rows 1, 2, 3 , 7 and 10, I copy what looks like 5 filtered rows, paste it and it still looks like 5 rows but the row numbers remain 1, 2, 3, 7 and 10 with the other data available for those that unhide the other rows.

Have I explained the problem? Any help much appreciated.

No matter what version of excel I used I have never been able to copy filtered cells and just paste the contents of just those  I always got the filtered stuff to.

The way I thought you did it :D was as following.

    Highlight the desired area.

    Say 1,5,8,9,13

So in 2007 you would use the "Home" Tab and at the very end should be "Find & Select" (Picture of a pair of binoculars!)

Choose "Go to special" and in the next area choose "Visible cells only"
Then just right click and copy.

What you now have to paste is just the data that was visible and not the hidden cells.

If it is something you do a lot, like I do, you can add the Got special button on to your Quick Access tool bar for handiness. I <3 My quick Access tool bar :)

Hope I explained that ok :o
