I want broadband today!

Hey,

Just wondering which mobile broadband is the best value for money, I'm looking to get some pretty sharpish. Living in Galway, about 5 mins from the uni - would this affect the speeds etc. due to the number of users? Have heard good, bad and awful things about 3 broadband, any thoughts?

O2 is probably the best of them all. There will be a 1 year contract, and they'll need to see ID and proof of address in order to sign up.

Experience will vary depending on exact location, time of day, other users, weather, and so on. No one can tell you if it will work for you, or how well it might work.

If you are a student, you can sign up with O2 for a discount, thats if they have not reached their 10,000 limit yet.

My gf has been using O2 mobile and the quality of it really depends on whether you can connect to a mast that is high speed enabled. At my place she could and had decent enough speeds to browse the net without any trouble. At her own place she was stuck on "edge" and the speeds of that was awefull. Dial up works better.

In a thread here about mobile internet i once found a link to a website that shows where these masts are and which are enabled for high speed and which provider uses that mast.
