Significance of the colour red.

    There seems to be an underlying theme in House that I've noticed across loads of episodes. It's the colour red.

    House uses a red mug. But it's more than that - I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I will re-watch a couple of episodes and list them off.

    Anyone else notice this, or am I to be diagnosed as crazy? If it is true, does anybody have any idea of the significance of this?

    There have been a few red things in house including the box set of season 3!:D

    He always drinks from the red coffee mug, in the first season when he often had a lollipop it was always a red one. Is the ball he is always bouncing off the wall not red??? Probably nothing though. The coffee mug though.... It has to mean something.

    Yep - they were the ones that I spotted (ok, my wife spotted) first. But there are others. Unfortunately I've given the lend of my House box set to a friend, so can't comb through it to find other instances.

    I seem to remember the trees in the lobby of the hospital have red leaves - but I'm open to correction.
