Organising a stag party?

Im looking at sorting out a stag party,

In looking for accomodation, I said that I would ring some hotels where I want to go and just ask first if they stag nights of a group of 15,

Ive found that hotels and b&bs have been ignorant in response and have rushed me off the phone,

Would I be better off just booking the hotel online and booking the rooms in groups of 3 or 4 in different names and not bother informing the hotel?

I understand that places have reservations about stag nights.

i came across http://www.dashhotels.com/ aswell. they organise the lot... in ireland ?

if hotels dont want to repond to a big group of stag partiers... might be safer to book in groups, and mention about the engineering conference on in x hotel down the road ;)

Guy I know was having trouble organising accomodation for a stag trip before, in the end he rang up and booked accomodation for 20 members of the <makey-up-name> Golf Society. Absolutely no hassle at all :)

Perhaps aim for self-catering accomodation - apartments and so forth. That's what I'm doing for my brother's stag.

The primary reason that hotels don't like stags is not any potential damage, but it's the noise and overall chaos in the hotel, which disturbs the other guests. That issue doesn't really exist in self-catering apartments.

    +1
Make a few days out of it and work your way down.
It's very affordable with a few of ye, and you can load the boats with drinks of your choice.

A new destination every night it doesn't matter if you get barred
But be careful in GAA season if you're wearing a county jersey some place you shouldn't!

booking a stag party is a tough job, believe me, i do it for a living. You can get in a lot of trouble if your pretending to be someone your not, ie a golf society but i have resorted to using it a few times.

the best thing to do is tell them its a 30th birthday party, at least they expect the party but dont expect a complete piss up from all your mates and thats these fault, you have to try out the onus on them and make them feel like they overlooked a certain element or took a 30th birthday party for granted, thinking it would be all family.
