    Aha.

In my ignorance, I took it that if a receiver was simply MPEG4 capable, it was fine for here. But I take it now that on top of being MPEG4-capable, it also must work on DVB-T.

My grasp on what's involved increases with every question I ask. Good job I'm not ashamed to be learning in the public eye . . . :o

    Thanks,

    Mark

    ATSC aka 8VSB

European DTT is DVB-t aka OFDM

Generally speaking any video related US/Japan market product is bad news here.

Including VHS, S-VHS, VCD, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital-8, BetaCAM, DVD, TV set, Satellite/cable/terrestrial tuners (digital or Analogue), Security camera, Video Senders and LaserDisk.
