    Those new netbooks are not the same as the current gen netbooks.
    Running a glorified mobile phone chip they're really mobile internet
    devices and I do not see them as having the same power and capability
    as current devices. It's comparing apples to oranges.

    They might be worth holding out for if you're looking for a decent mobile
    browsing device with 8 hour battery but not as a laptop replacement or
    the best of the current gen netbooks.

    Cheaper/less parts = cheaper PCs. The price of chips and screens and widgets is always falling but it doesn't fall that quickly.
