Hoping somebody might help me here.

The OH is thinking of going for a job in here and she was advised shifts will be required. Anybody got any idea what these would be like.

Also any general info on what the work enviroment is like would be great

    Thanks in advance

She working for CPL, Sitel, or Paypal directly?

Told that it's good. Know of a few lads who went there, and stayed there. That speaks for itself. Not sure about the shifts. Usually 2 day shifts, and a night shift for 24 hour companies, but maybe only 2 day shifts (start early, start 3 hours later).

    Hiya

I know someone who works there, started in the call centre and has ended up I think in Risk - doesn't work shift though. however, he has been there for six or seven years and has no complaints at all and is generally very happy. I think they are a good company to work for.............

Risk Operations is where all the back office functions lie - fraud, disputes, compliance etc. The other side is customer support (phone/email).

The shifts will depend on the department she goes into. Most departments put people on fixed 'shifts', so you will work the afternoon shift or night shift on a permanent basis. A lot of the departments will let you do a 4-day week with 10-hour days (eg 2pm - 10pm Sun - Wed) which seems very popular. It's a great environment to work in and there were always opportunities for moving around internally. I'm not sure if they're hiring at the moment though?

Oh and not all departments will have night shift, when I was there they were phasing some of them out. You do get a nice bonus if you do them though!

From what I remember the English customer service team shifts are on rotation, one of the few departments that do. I would recommend that unless she particularly likes talking on the phone go for the Risk Operations jobs as they are more interesting :)
