New Snowboard Bindings

    Hi guys,

I need to buy some new snowboard bindings as the ones I have are a bit dangerous at the moment.

I'm a piste basher, mostly reds and blues.
This year I want to master the art of those narrow through the trees parts of the piste (so I can keep up with my mates on skis) and be able to do a 180.

Not a major fan of high speed on a board, not sure I ever will be!

Size 11 boots, 6ft tall and about 13 stone. Also I have a wide board.

Any recommendations on which bindings and where to buy?
Heading to St. Anton in a few weeks which isn't the cheapest of resorts to buy gear in!

The ones I have are metal + plastic and I was advised to go with just plastic as metal will bend over time.

    Thanks
    Willy.

I upgraded to Burton Customs during the summer (winter down under) and have not looked back since! Class bindings. Tough, very adjustable, light enough, and have toe caps.
Other more expensive ones might have better features, but I think these do the job grand, and if they are good enough for Shaun White......

I got myself a pair of Burton Cartels, they were recommended to me as a great binding, havent got to try them out yet, will do this saturday, going for 1 day boarding at our local resort.

Yeah, capstraps (ones that come around the front as well as the top of your toe) are a big improvement.

I'd reccomend rome, burton and technine(if you are into park) for bindings. Not a fan of drake

Check out the Burton Missions ~€180 in Snow and Rock in Dundrum.

Not as nice as Cartels but I find them solid

if you are going for cartels, i would try them out first as the forward lean on them is not for everyone.
i have salomon relay xlt and i think they are great all mountain bindings
