Magaluf/Magalluf: Is two weeks too long for 12 Irish students?

The plan is an end-of-school-for-all holiday that's been put off two years for the younger stragglers who also did transition year, and it's a two week holiday for late June. Magaluf is the current plan for it's affordability, beaches, and abundance of nightclubs. The only apparent problem is the anti-Irish vibe that has cropped up in threads which have been 70% pro-Magaluf and 30% anti.

What's the story? A group of roughly 6 Irish lads and 6 Irish girls, 18-19 years old, looking for a sun holiday in Magaluf: are we likely to get hassle (from British "chavs", general ****heads or what have you) purely because of nationality? If so, any suggestions on a similar destination with less racist louts?

I've heard the same thing about Magaluf tbh. Why not just stay in Santa Ponsa? It's only down the road and it rules out any of that type of hassle. You can always head up to Magaluf for a night out or whatever.

Must also mention that the whole holiday is around 520 per person, I am one of the planned 12 or so.

do it, its savage criac . The clubs/pubs are quality and the talent is sweet. some parts of it are a bit of a sh*thole but where (with a similar type of night life) on the island isnt.

As regard hassle , the only ****ers who started on us when we were there were a bunch of scummers from Cork. Santa Ponso is a bigger kip , Some of the irish knocking about are as rough as a badgers arse.

Im a firm believer if you dont go looking for hassle in any of these places it wont come looking for you.

the beach is sweet and its as cheap as chips. well it was about 2-3 years ago.
