Coffee and the Paranormal

The Star is reporting today that people who drink a lot of coffee are more likely to "sense" ghosts than those who drink very little.
They quote "UK experts" as saying that people who drink more than seven cups of coffee a day have an increased tendency to hallucinate.

Does this mean caffeine produces hallucinations....or....is it an aid to improving psychic experiences?:D

I wonder what the coffee consumption is here in the paranormal forum!:)

Tell all those who take expensive drugs this, could save them a lot of stealing and a few vital organs.

Only drink about 2 -3 cups a week. Like my cuppa tea though.

I remember posting on a thread about this a couple of years back, I cant find it here so must have been another site. I dont drink coffee but I used to drink a couple of litres of coke a day.

this is true, I've investigated while pumped with Coke!!!

But I dont really drink it now unless its with a meal the odd time, i've gone a year without it, I dont drink coffee and my tea is decaf.

Having said all that I've never seen a ghost so maybe I should start back!!.

nope i dont think its coffee that produces hallucinations its the person, in my opinion anyone that think they see ghosts have got unresolved issues with someone they lost
    any thoughts?

What if the person they are seeing isn't someone they lost?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 307 ✭✭nikki 122

it will never be the person they lost it will always be someone else because sub consciously they think will never be able to resolve the issues therefore they can never help them
does that make sense, do you get what i am saying?

I get what you are saying but for my own reasons dont agree.

What if it is someone they lost?

well if it is someone they lost they must feel like they need to fix what went wrong, do you think the person ever tried to talk to the one they lost, because you can't be cynical about these things, there are a few things they could try to make themselves feel better

Im sure this happens but its a very narrow view of actuall ghost sightings .
