How to get free to air channels?

    hi, i have just cancelled my sky subscription. i still have my sky box and dish but i am not picking up any of the free to air channels. the old sky card is still in the sky box, do i need to take it out or do i need to replace it with another type of card to pick up the free channels? any help appreciated

    but when i turn on my sky box and tv i just see a black screen, i dont see the 'sky' menu............i havent removed the sky card yet, could this be causing my problem, thanks

    No card is needed.

    If it doesn't show Sky news on 501, then something is loose.

    check connections, possibly the scart is loose.

    Also if its an irish epg sky box (When card is taken out and you reboot box) rte will be 101 then its not a great box to use for FTA channels as a lot of them will have to be stored in the "Other channels"

    If it was UK original sky box then when you take out card and reboot bbc 1 will be there, this is much better for FTA channels.

    turn it off at the power switch - leave it for a few seconds and turn back on....
