    Hey,
I got my laptop and it had a score of 3. The graphics card was the only one to get below 4.5 and it got the 3.
I upgraded to Windows 7 and everything stayed the same but the graphics score went down to 2.0. I didn't like Windows 7 all too much so I just reinstalled Vista and now I have a score of 1. Everything is the same except for Graphics and Gaming graphics which both got 1...

What happened? How can I fix this because I'm stuck on the basic look now and can't play games

    Update your graphics drivers.

Either through windows update, manufacturer homepage, or Nvidia homepage (if its a Nvidia card), whichever is the handiest/latest.

Performance is really affected by the drivers you're using. Hehe, Windows7 in a virtual machine gives a better score than Vista for my laptop, for everything but processor, gaming graphics and Aero performance. Processor is operating on 1 logical core, and Virtualbox doesn't support 3d acceleration, so the other two only get a score of 1.

If no video driver is installed the Windows Experience Index does not go above 1.0. If there is a driver installed that isn't WDDM compatible (such as an XP driver) it doesn't go above 2.0.

    Thanks lads :)

    One more question:

I got my rating up to 2.4. Windows update automatically updated the drivers

I'm trying to play Spore but it keeps on freezing. The only way I can unfreeze it is if I do ctrl-alt-delete or press the windows key and then go back in to the game but then it does it again...
When I first started the game it said I have old video card drivers and need it update to get the best experience.

I'm using an NVIDIA Geforce 6150
