I've been thinking about advertising my website on a few other sites but would like to find out what kind of traffic the different sites are getting before making my decision.
Is it possible to find this sort of thing out online? Is that sort of information public? Not looking for detail, just numbers really.

Ask them? or do you mean non-paid advertising?

Some more details would make it much easier to help out.

I think the OP is trying to get statistics about another site - see if it's worthwhile paying - number of visitors, unique visitors, time on site, etc.

OP, a lot of sites will have a sales department or someone to contact. Basically you can just ask them for some statistics. Most sites will have a database of sorts.
