I'd appreciated it if anybody can provide some information about this weekend's Leinster Senior Cross Country such as what distance the men's race covers (I'm guessing 12000m) and what's the course in Tymon Park like?

If anybody ran the BHAA race in Tymon Park last weekend can they give a description of the conditions in the park (I'm hoping it'll be nothing like Ballyhaise!)?

    Thanks.

I think it's only 10k for Leinsters, 12k for Nationals, but I'm open to correction. Tymon Park is by and large flat - run around a load of football pitches.

I ran in the bhaa race and it actually held up quite well and a few ran in their runners and I saw no one falling, but that was with only a small amount of drizzle during the night before, I would say unless the rain stops it will be a different case all together, the grass height is quite low also if thats any help.

    Thanks, Lads.

Tymon is normally in good shape but seeing as how there was a race there only a few days ago I thought no harm in asking.

There's a fair bit of rain forecast over the next few days so, Woddle, you could be right in saying conditions will be different this weekend...I suppose I wouldn't want it any other way...

I know from training there that it usually doesnt get too muddy after the kind of rain we had might be the odd corner but all together should be relatively dry and firm come the weekend

    1 Mark Kirwan
    2 Peter Mathews
    3 Brian Maher

Very close between Raheny & Rathfarnham for team gold
    Didn't hang around for results

Pauline Curley won the Women's race

Oppss I should have said BHAA have results of their Saturday race on their website - sorry original reply might have been misleading to imply they had Leinster results available
