knew that would get your attention!

I'm male and was just wondering what underwear are lads wearing under their shorts/skins etc?

I'm wearing some Aldi ones that are annoying the %&^* off me. they itch, slide down and are pretty uncomfortable.

just wondering what is out there?

    BTW-keep it clean!

If their shorts they should have a cage so no need for anything under that. If their Skins or tights they should be tight enough so nothing more is required IMO although longer runs and/or wet conditions may warrant a bit of body glide 'down under'.

None - a lot of the running shorts don't need any, they have that inner layer thing to keep things in order.

For marathon distances I find a lot of these chafe badly. I wear speedos under my shorts/tights and that keeps everything nicely in one place without the chafing..

    right so. Commando it is.

Honestly was not aware of that. Only running a couple of months, so pretty naive.

    cheers

Spandex/Lycra is the way to go. A bit girlie but they do the trick.

Find it depends on the shorts for me as well. Some shorts are very comfortable, others feel like they've razor blades sewn into the seams.

I'm sure it's all wrong and I'm probably just getting away with it, but I tend to wear cotton boxers under my shorts. I find that causes less likelihood of chafing than the webbed shorts on their own. Under running tights they can ride up a bit, but I haven't bothered looking for an alternative.

+1 to targetted application of BodyGlide, but I only really need it on runs of over 14/15 miles.

I don't wear anything under or over my running tights but when wearing shorts I wear the compression boxer style type as I just like the thoughts of keeping my hamstrings a little bit warmer.

I have tried a few different options (both running and biking) and find that snug fitting speedos do the trick as they keep everything in place and I have had no chafing issues.

Are these athletic/branded ones or just normal ones?

I have a pair of nike ones that I normally use for racing as I like their tightness and then back in September I bought a few base layer ones from Aldi, I think the make is crane and their also very comfortable.

I take it you mean the boxer style speedoes - and not the brief style.

And for the OP - commando

Don't worry about S4E, He was teetering around on high heels in another thread recently. Mind you, I found myself squatting outside the toilets at 2am on Saturday morning with a crowd of men in tights and there wasn't anything kinky going on at all!

I wear under armour tight shorts under my long tights or shorts.
To be honest,i would feel very uncomfortable without them.
When i started running i wore cycling shorts under my shorts but the pad bit was causing friction where you dont want it,then i just wore my boxer shorts which rode up and create the dreaded Ire ....
Decided then to bite the bullet and spend a few quid with the under armour ....money well spent
I also have 2 under armour tight tops aswell that i wear nearly all year round unless its to hot in the summer, the oul nipples need protection aswell.
