Central heating pressure guage

In a sealed central heating system with the red hand on the pressure guage set at one and a half where should the black hand be when the system is cold. Is it a problem if the black hand goes above the red when the heating is on. Hope this makes sense.

While your question is a very vague one and very much like how long is a string, but can I suggest you have a look at the Heating System (Sealed) on the bottom of page 6 at http://www.firebird.ie/installation/SYSTEM-MANUAL.pdf where it sets typical settings using this manufacturer plant. Again this question is probably best put to your plumber who is more familiar with your circuit setup.
