Rented this last night and was pleasently surprised

Great performances put in from all involved especially the lead roles and the direction was spot on. I wont reveal too much about it as it caught me off-guard - probably why I enjoyed it..

The tension does'nt let up from the moment it gets into the main story which is so gradual and seemless it makes the story very true to life.

It's a gory one with tons of suspense - ever watch a film that makes you feel a bit uncomfortable or tense?!

If you havnt seen it, give it a rent it's a good watch

I don't know... I thought it was quite average myself.

The kids (even the excellent Thomas Turgoose) was just all so one-dimensional and irritating.

It's not a bad movie.. passable, but I didn't think too highly of it either.

Seen it myself recently. Its a good enough movie, pretty tense at times and will keep you on the edge of your seat. If nothing else it'll make you despise youngsters even more! Christ! that young guy who was the leader of the gang, what I wouldnt do to him! :mad:

Youre thinking of The Strangers...which isnt a remake of Them but has an almost identical plot.

Eden Lake is a British movie.

Watched this last night;

Thought it was ok. It started strong, lagged in the middle but got good again towards the end. My main gripe with the movie would be that though its only about 85 minutes long, it somehow seemed to drag? I guess a lot of the couple's close escapes and near deaths just seem like overkill and unconvincing by the end.

Decent film, nothing great though. Could have been better if it had less running around and more character development, methinks.

The lead woman was annoying so I had no sympathy towards her at all. I was hoping all the way through that they'd get her

and they did in the end. And I was glad. She was an idiot. Why did she fall asleep that time when they were killing her husband? She had time to get away and get help. Hours in fact. Unreal.
