Sorry if it's been already posted, but couldn't find it.
Same as Sky - Sunday 25/01/09 @ 21:00, double episode.
Why it's not on Thursday 22th escapes me.

    My personal countdown begins!!! ;)

I've been watching it on Sky at lunchtime when I'm able, to get my memory jogged before the madness starts again!

Thanks for posting this man ;)

I'll probably watch it on RTE due to the less adverts.

It baffles me, Why they have decided to show it on Sunday when they could show it earlier..

It still takes time for them to receive the episode from the U.S.. I remember reading an article about how it works a couple of years ago.

Episodes often aren't finished until the last minute, and to prevent leaks ABC won't let them out of their sight until they've aired. The morning after, Technicolor put them on to a computer and send them via fibre optic to their offices overseas where they are converted to PAL format, tested and put on a tape. This tape then has to be picked up by Sky/RTE/whoever, whom I assume check it again before airing it.

This takes a few days at least; plus there's the potential for delays, etc.

Great stuff. As with all shows which Sky + RTE battle over, will stick to RTE. Don't care who gives em stick they provide a good service, so I'm going to be a big filthy nationalist and go with RTE. :) Would've waited til Monday even if Sky had it on the Sunday.

Honestly still don't see why people bother watching it on a computer...great for watching movies on a laptop while travelling or something but for a series ya gotta all sit around the box with some munchies. Plus, if you've waited for months surely ya can wait another couple days. Guess it's different for me c0os there's a group of us who watch it together in the same house.

...sorry...should quit my moaning and just be happy that lost is BACK!!! :)

Have a feeling it's gonna be a great series. Enjoy it..

Fair points but it wasn't an issue for the current season of Prison Break (up until they fell behind because of the football), they were showing it less than 24 hours after the US.

Yay. It's been so long! Ill be watchin it on RTE seeing as each episode is 50mins long as opposed to sky being an hour long with extra ads...unless i miss the beginning, then ill use multistart on sky! Going to the spoilers thread now for a look!

No ad breaks. I watch it straight away and my pc monitor rocks so why not. It also means you have all episodes and can watch them whenever you like which for Lost is pretty huge considering I am watched every episode at least twice.
I was shocked to discover in season 3 that lost even had end credits when I happened to see the end of an episode on network 2.
I was like omg the podcast music!

Yeah but different show, different network. Fox probably send Prison Break overseas a few days before it airs in the U.S.. ABC are unwillingly to do this with Lost because they are afraid of leaks. But torrents aren't going anywhere so they're eventually going to have to compromise and speed the process up.

Re: watching the show on a computer monitor? XBMC ftw! :D

Yeah I used to be in the 'I'll watch it on TV' camp but I missed an episode one week and was forced to catch it online and found watching it on my PC just as fun! Better sound, no ads, I was swayed to catch it online from then on.

Usual ritual for me involves having my lovely Treble Crunch crisps ready, a nice big buttered bread roll, a big warm mug of tea and then I'm ready to feast eyes once again on the lovely Evangeline Lilly.

    Ah, happy days.

ADS? Pffft. Sky+ it pause it and make some tea then sit and watch all the way through uninterupted. Except of course for the inevitable who? what? questions for the ma or the GF but hey i've got pause and rewind.

    Sky+ FTW!!!

    Also yay Lost is back.

Without coming across as being thick, is Lost back on both RTE&Sky on Sunday the 25th?. Should be a good series. The last one was. I know of people who have stopped watching it but I would love to know how because even though at the end of each episode, I say this is frustrating to watch, I keep on watching it.

To be honest, I don't mind the ad breaks. Not for cartoons or even series' like Prison Break, but with Lost a short ad break gives you time to think about what just happened and, in my case, discuss is with whoever I'm watching it with. Mind you, if I was in the US, the ad breaks would wreck my head

Same goes for the week-long wait in between episodes. It gives you something to look forward to wheras having all of them on your hardrive in a list means you just watch them one after another (I do this when they come out on dvd boxset after the series is over).

But I can see where people are coming from...I guess I'm just less impatient like you freaks :P:D:cool:

Don't worry, Sky always repeat it during the week. It was on a Tuesday last year I think.

Well I'm not the techie of the gaff, but I do believe we have a fancy cable hooked up to the TV and a PC. Download the episoode on laptop. Transfer to PC. Watch on TV. Best of both worlds!

Very true. I started watching Lost when Season 2 was half way through. Downloaded the lot from the start, but with the cliffhangers at the end of every episode its so hard not to watch the next one! Ended up watching 3 & 4 episodes a night!

I had heard that there was going to be two weeks between every episode. Please, somebody say that that's a dirty lie?

It's a dirty lie. There'll be no breaks. I think it's 16 or 17 weeks (depending on whether they'll air the last 2 episodes on the same night or not) straight. 18 episodes total.

It's 17 episodes/hours total. So if they air the finale together that's 15 weeks, I think.

ABC may also decide to take a week or two break before the finale. But yeah most of the season should be uninterrupted.

On RTE 2 Saturday night/Sunday morning @ 01:15-3:00. Be careful if recording, the later the times the more unreliable RTE are ;)

Turns out there will be an interruption in the season after all. There's going to be a 1 week break between 5x07 and 5x08. :(

Meh I really wish they hadn't broadcast episodes 1 and 2 back to back then.
