    Anyone been watching this?

Documentary about the USS Nimitz during a deployment to the Gulf during 2005. Been on since Monday night, 7pm weekdays

I'm finding it quite interesting to be honest. It's not just the Air Wing, or the officers but also the crew.

I saw it when it came out, it's a very open look. The Navy was commended for basically giving the media free access, and because enough time passed between filming and broadcast, some of the more controversial sailors could say their piece without fear of retribution because they had time to get out.

Of course, the TV crew did focus a little more on the minority of 'unusual' crewmen than the vast majority who were Seaman Jones in the third rank. Some of the episodes are better than others.

I watched it this evening. Focused a lot on two junior rankings (not sure of correct ranks) who got very familiar with each other (in a mutaully consensual, slightly drunk way) while on shore in Hong Kong. It took guts by these two to appar on camera for all the world to see.

    Good programme.
