I think you should only get 1 try at it. If Woosie wanted Wales then he shouldn't have taken the K-Club

Always surprised me Wossie didn't wait for Wales tbh. Reckon Lyle will get it - Ollie will get a US venue imo.

If he does get it, i hope Ollie gets on better than he did in the Royal Trophy!

I like both Lyle and Ollie so either of those will do nicely. Woosie has had his shot at it... would be a shame if he got 2 shots at it and one of the other great Europeans of his generation (i.e. Lyle) didn't get a chance.

Unless Bradley Dredge steps up to the mark or Philip Price comes back from the doldrums Wales are unlikely to have a player in the team.
That could swing the decision towords Woosie if they want a Welsh rep in there....

monty is the man according to the rumours on tour, uncommital in interview with sky sports just there.

I would have though Monty would still have very high hopes of making the team himself.

The quotes from him yesterday about the commitee agreeing that 50 was probably too old for a captain were interesting though. The 2014 ryder cup would obviously be too late for him, going by that line of thought. Only 2 more Ryder Cups before he turns 50 and 2010 will be the only one on home soil.

I do think he would make a fantastic captain though.

interesting interview after his round with Harrington. Sounds like it is a done deal, spoke about how it is unlucky for Lyle and that he was a little surprised that Monty was willing to give up his chance of playing but him as captain was their best chance of a win.
