Running it twice/chopping pots ect

I dont play alot of cash games myself but recently i was out in the Atari expo (in tallaght) and almost every time two players or more got the money in pre flop they decided to do a deal, where they would run it for what was in the middle before they moved in or take back a percentage of the pot according to their hand strenght. Also they would run the turn and river 3 or 4 times, i was'nt involved in this much except if i thought i was getting the better deal (many of them didint quite know when they were favourite ect),

I was just wondering weather some of the cash players are for or against this,
    does it encourage collusion?
    is fold equity lost?

Just wondering the pro's and con's

80%, was it that low? I could of sworn it was more

In general, I'm a big fan of it as it makes the game more entertaining/interesting, and as you've said, many times it may be advantageous to you.

But, in my experience this would happen fairly rarely, maybe once an hour at most. If it happens with alot of regularity, I would definitely watch out for collusion.

If I am repeatedly getting a good deal then i'll take it.
I've only every done it once mind

it also slows down the game and as such costs you money

Have played a live cash game in an age, but this was happening the last time I did, annoying as fúck, the game stops while two tossers barter like they are in chinatown.

    It's poker, not communism ffs.
    Deal the cards.

You know you'd have drawn out.

As I have said in a previous thread on doing deals:

It's tantamount to passing chips and it slows the game.

I dealt to a game where it was allowed, and it happened every time this certain fella was in a pot.

What's the fcucking point? As has been said, it's poker not communism.

obv this was around the time I was running like god. i think he just offered the chop because he had resigned himself to losing the pot if we ran it out so the chance to get half back was the obvious option

Shouldn't be allowed unless there is at least a 250+bb pot

With that said, if you're in a game and this is happening every hand, you normally should have the right to object to any such activities.

After all, you are paying good rake to play.

why should the amount of bb's in the pot effect if its allowed or not. Is the 250 bb number the number you chose because thats the amount you think is too much. 250 bb's is just over a buy-in for each of the people involved. If you're afraid of losing a buy-in and a half then you'll always have problems winning a good bit

    are you on drugs?

Insert x x bb to what you see fit.

My point being is that you don't have guys with 20 bb stacks getting it in and running 15 times every 3rd hand.
