Does anyone know what type of mudgaurds will fit the giant FCR 2. I know that there is no holes for mud guards but can they be attached other ways.

    Raceblades might do the trick.
Out of stock, but stick a reminder on and they should be back soon.

I'm not sure how much clearance you would have with 25 tyres. I'm using 23s

raceblades fit fine on the fcr2, even with 28mm tyres.

Was going to ask the same question :)
So they should fit my XL FCR1?

It says on wiggle fits 700 x 18-23 tyres?
And if you check on cyclesuperstore there are 2 types available....
    700x18-23
    700x25-32

I have the small ones (18-23) and they fit 25 and indeed 700x26 fine.

I got my XL raceblades from CRC today.
Back one fits perfect, unfortunately the front doesn't.
The front carbon fork is "aero" in shape but isnt straight (theres a 'jink' in on the way down).
They say on the instructions to use the aero attachment clips, but there are none in the set?
I'm going to try to get onto SKS & CRC and see what they think.
Until then hold off buying them if you've got a Giant FCR, unless your front fork is round.

FYI: you can adjust the location of the black attachments on the actual guard itself. You can move them up or down so you can try reposition the fork clamp more appropriately. If you have already done that and it still doesn't help, then I'm all out of ideas.

There should be aero attachments in the box, these are two sort of v-shaped bits of plastic and are necessary for attaching to a profiled fork (I use them myself.) Get on to CRC and they should send you out some. You sure you don't have them?

My FCR has 'aero' carbon forks, and it fits fine. Don't have any 'jink' you're talking about though.

Thanks Raam, tried that earlier alright, didn't help

There weren't any in the box.
Just emailed CRC there and asked them to send them on.
    Thanks :)
Hopefully they'll work, as I said the fork has a bend in the profile

you can bend the metal arms to accomodate the different positions, as well as sliding the black rubber bit on the mudguard itself to bring the plastic closer or further from the wheel,

    Got a reply from CRC.........

    Hi

Please accept our apologies. The description on our website was incorrect. The manufacturer no longer supply the adaptor with the mudguards. We are updating the description on the website, and are enquiring with the manufacturer if we can order the adaptor in specially. We will be in contact shortly.

    Best Regards,

SKS still say its in the kit....SKS XL Raceblades

Just letting you know seeing as there were others asking about these guards
