Ever wondered which 10 friends you would be happy to purge from your life? Burger King has come up with a viral advertising campaign that will make the decision for you.

A new Facebook application, Whopper Sacrifice, invites you to delete 10 friends from your social networking page to get a free burger. The programme then broadcasts this to all your friends:. So we may see 'President-elect Barack Obama has sacrificed Hillary Clinton, George Bush and The Reverend Jeremiah Wright to get a free Whopper! '. The burger pusher has never shied away from controversial campaigns. Its Whopper Virgins advertisement got it into hot water last year, when it encouraged burger novices to guzzle fast food.

Sure facebook being what it is, I have accumulated a number of people on my friends list that I have never met.

Alternatively, now would be the time to set up a nice little circle jerk where we all add, and subsequently delete each other for free burgers.

Social networking sites are the tool of the Devil.

I wonder how many free burgers I would get if I deleted all of my Bebo/facebook crap

You can get a double cheeseburger meal for e3.50 in BK now. I think I can afford that.

Depends on the size of the burger.

+ the axe idea sounds like much more fun!
