Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club are holding a NASRPC 25 metre benchrest pistol and sporting rifle competition on our range on Saturday 10th January. The range will be open from 09:30am. This is the first competition in 2009 so if your new years resolution was to take part in more competitions, now is your chance :)

    Courses of fire:

Sporting Rifle - 40 shots on the NSRA 25 yard target (electronic - 59mm aiming mark). 20 minutes per detail. Details at 10:00am, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30 and 12:00. Sporting rifles with scopes or target rifles with aperture sights only.

N.B. for those using scoped sporting rifles, please check that your rifle is zeroed for 25 yards before the competition to avoid damaging the targets.

Benchrest Pistol - 60 shots in 20 minutes on the 25m standard pistol target (electronic - 200mm aiming mark). Details at 13:00, 13:30 and 14:00.

Entry Fees: €15 individual competition or €25 combined.

You can book now on www.rathdrumrpc.org by clicking on the Book Detail item on the menu on the left. Follow the steps to book the competition, detail and firing point. Remember to Confirm your booking by clicking the Confirm button at the bottom of the page after you have submitted your details.

To help with the smooth running of these competitions, it would be preferable if everyone could book online.

The ones I left out, I just don't know. If I've made any mistakes I'm sure someone will be along to correct them. Nigel Barrett switched from the Pardini because he mistakenly engaged the safety, it was taken from the range to be checked and he was allowed finish using the Hammerli.

    The time limits included sighters
