Try and explain your issue a little bit better. People tend to help more when they see you made an effort to explain the symptoms.

Explain your set-up, what doesn't work exactly, what exact Error Messages you get and what you tried to do to solve the issue.

Try plugging your xbox into your modem, see if you can connect to LIVE that way.

Does your modem have more than one port for connecting to devices?

If you asked this in the XBox Forum you'd get more help. Or a Mod could move it.

Thread moved from Call of Duty Forum as suggested by LD 50 as OP was not getting much help.

Your laptop wasn't by any chance receiving the internet connection from your router via wireless and then you had the xbox cable going into the laptop?

I don't own an xbox, but if you were doing that it might explain the problem

How did ya fix the problem? you could be of some help to others

did you make sure your ip address setting was on automatic?

it only needs to be on manual when your connected directly to the modem

but once its put through the router it needes to automatic
