On the nails issue, I dont know how elaborate your nails are goin to be for the big day but would it be possible to leave the gel nails bare/french manicured for the dinner the night before then apply the colour the morning of the wedding?

    Just a thought :)

Say the nails are green to match your green-themed wedding.
Wear a green top the night before to the function so that your nails match that top. If anyone asks you about the nail colour, say you'll take off the green nail polish that night and that there's a gel nails french manicure underneath the nail varnish.

You can put nail varnish on gel nails and take it off again without dissolving them, right? (She says, hopefully!)

afaik acetone is used to remove gel nails so as long as the nail varnish remover does'nt contain any acetone it should be fine. Tbh its pretty hard to find nail varnish remover with acetone in it so should'nt be a problem at all.

Could you paint the nails yourself or get a bridesmaid with a steady hand to do it, its easy enough for anyone who is used to doin their own nails. As for getting people on a sunday, I'm not sure, I think your best bet is to ring a few local salons and see what they say. You could also approach a beautician/nail techinician yourself and ask if they'd b interested in doing the work direct.

You can get stick-on nail varnish now I think. I saw it in Dunnes and Tesco (Cork) last week. I didn't have a close look at it but it might be worth checking out. If it's a case of stick on/peel off then it might be your solution.

    Hi Fi,

I used a company called Princess Bridal Beauty last year for hair and makeup on the day of the wedding and can recommend them highly. Tish Curry who owns the company handled my wedding and was a very calming influence on the bridal party on the day as well as doing a great job on hair and makeup. You can find this company on the internet, so give her a shout. She was very well priced for what she actually did. PM me if you need more info about prices, etc.

    Regards,

    Hi Fi,
nails artist is here from Cork. I believe you will find someone good to make ur nails in Kildare, otherwise welcome to Cork designer.
However, just a good hint i used here for my customer.
Make the nails 1-2 days in advance as it does help to sleep better. On the night with the dinner- wear silky gloves, to match the outfit - something unexpected and exciting, yet the nails colour is hidden from the eyes.
    best of luck in preparation!!

If you are getting gel nails, you hav two options:
    - if you get your nail art done in gel rather than a polish on top of gel, you can just paint over it for the night before and use non acetone remover to take off the polish on the morning of the wedding and your gel nails with nail art will still be intact.
    - if you get your nail art done in polish on top of gel, just get them to put a layer of clear gel on top of nail art and you'll be able to paint over it as above.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hiya,

I'm a make-up artist. With the nails issuse you could leave them neutral and the day of the wedding get the make-up artist to paint them for you. we tend to have steady hands and most are trained in beauty also. You will definitely have time to do this
