    Hi,

I have a 1978 MG Midget, and since moving it up from Wexford to Leitrim, I have noticed each morning when i open the bonnet, the whole engine bay is covered with moisture.. I have it under cover in a big shed, any ideas on how to prevent this happening, don't want it rusting away:eek:

    Thanks.

    Simon

Are you covering the car when it's warm? Possible condensation?

No... the car is driven into the shed and that's it, there isn't a cover put over the car.....

Well maybe thats why Wexford is called the "sunny South East "

Anyway it sounds like the shed is the problem, too much moisture in the air inside. Is it a concrete shed ?

Believe it or not you would be better off leaving the doors and windows on the shed open !

You need to disperse at least some of the hot air from under the bonnet. Hot air holds moisture and as it cools you will have condensation. Leaving the bonnet open for a few minutes after you park to let some of the heat out should help
