Gun dog insurance

    Got a new springer on saturday and was going to get him insured. What company do ye use or any recommendations? Thanks in advance

    Try the NARGC, if your a memeber, I seem to remember they offer

    try the IFA as they will cover both you and your dogs in conjunction with your guns.. 60 euro..

    The dog insurance is for public liability only and its to the tune of 5 million (i think)

    the nargc will insure your dog but like most of them only if its under 8 years old ,so read the small print peter.best of luck with the new mut what did you call him .

    as far as i know you have to have a dog licence for it to be valid

    but every one does .A english lady moved into ferns some years ago ,she wished to licence her dog so headed to the local post office .post master i would like to licence my dog no problem he says ,sign your name hear with your address here.the post master reads it and stamps it and says congratulations missus your now the only person in ferns with a dog .

    He's only seven months so the age wont be a problem. His name is sam, was named when i got him, He's already showing good signs so fingers crossed he'l keep up the work. I'l get a picture of him up later.

    if you are in a gun club then your gun dog is insured with the nargc.

    Well third party will give you some peace of mind,
    Just think what it would be like after your dog savages some poor unfortunate ethnic minority child and its all over the local paper "Ferns Today" and the mob find out it was a hunters dog!!!!!
    Holy God the Sh1t would hit the fan, there be up roar, You;d have Government groups calling for a ban on dogs or trying to insist that all dogs were now to be kept on a lead at all times even if you were trying to carry a loaded firearm..:eek:

    It'll be like something out of Blazing Saddles:D:D

    Got a quate with allianz E216 which covers vets bills, the value of the dog & third party which i think was very good.

    they didnt ask cs so i didn't mention hunting, i'm more worried about the price of vets now its madness
