Running Campag Cassette on Shimano Wheel

I have some Askiums I use for the turbo from my Scott bike which runs Shimano. I'm currently buying the components to put together a Campag bike but wanted to know how, or if, I can run a Campag cassette on my old wheel.
Its a spare wheel just for use on the turbo.

You could but won't be able to use all the cogs. I think you'll only get 4-5 at best (spacing is different) with a shimano block

You won't get a Campag cassette onto Shimano hubs.

You might have more joy just leaving a Shimano cassette on the wheel and trying it with your Campag drivetrain.

10 speed spacing is very simliar and I ran an Ultegra drivetrain with a Campagnolo hub and cassette for over a year and it shifted perfectly. My wife's bike is set up that way now and it works just fine as well. I've yet to try the other way around though.

El tonto's right - the campag casette splines wont allow it to fit a shimano hub (and vice versa)

however if you're running 9 speed shimano equipped rear wheel it will work with a 9 speed campag grouppo

Is there not a shim available to convert -- or am I dreaming?

Sorry Scott, no converter for this one AFAIK. American Classic do (or certainly did) cassettes that fit shimano hubs but were campag spaced and vice versa. You could consider something like this (10spd), http://www.lickbike.com/productpage.aspx?PART_NUM_SUB=%272276-01%27. Pricey though

you can get a campy freehub for mavic hubs, why not order a replacement one? got two sets 2 years ago, 1 campy and 1 shimano.
    hope this helps.
