Hi,

We thought we had planned in advance for solar panels on our house but now when we come to measure up for them it seems we wont fit thirty tubes on the roof.

We planned on putting the panels between two velux windows south facing and checked the size of the thirty tube panels. The information given is that they are 2.6m wide. Our gap between the windows is 2.57m. Disgusted when i found out. Have nothing ordered yet so suppose thats one thing.

Does anybody know if the size of the thirty tube units is pretty much standard (i presume it is)?

Second is it possible to get twenty five tubes or something similar that will maximise the number of tubes we can get in the space.

Navitron.org.uk and eco-nomical.co.uk both do 30 tube panels with width less than 2.57m

You continue to pimp Velux solar products despite the fact that the OP asked specifically about tubes which Velux do not supply.

Yes, I am in the solar business but do not have any association with any particular supplier.

Used there products on 2 jobs, find them to be a good product ( sold through builders merchants)Thought with velux windows in roof might suit installed like velux windows alternative ?

As I said, I am involved in the solar business (registered installer), have no axe to grind against Velux and have used their products in the past.
